Scheduled for Sunday, November 26th at 3:00pm, Gentry says the parade is just one part of kicking off the holidays in Fayette County. “It’s the whole weekend really, starting with Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and the parade and downtown activities on Sunday,” Gentry said. Main Street will again have visits with Santa, carriage rides and other activities to be announced as the date approaches.
WVNU Lite 97.5FM is again partnering with the Chamber to sponsor awards for the categories of Best Use of Theme and Most Creative. Judging will take place at parade line up and winners will be announced as they pass the announcers stand.
Costumes By All Occasions is helping out with the parade and offering free costumes to anyone who needs them for their entry. Costumes will be on a first come, first serve basis by calling 740-333-5400.
The parade route will copy last year with line up taking place at the Washington Court House Middle School and High School parking lots, exiting on to Elm Street, turning left on Columbus Avenue, going through town. The final turn will be onto Circle Avenue where the parade will end.

Parade entry forms are now available at the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce, 206 E. Court Street, or on their website
