Drug Arrest Made In Connection With Search Warrant

On Monday, August 2, 2010, the Highland County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 825 South Fifth Street in Greenfield. The search was an effort to continue to combat illegal drugs on the streets of Highland County, as well as citizen complaints about the location being involved in illegal narcotics trafficking. Upon execution of the search, detectives located over $22,000.00 in cash, prescription pills, and a handgun were seized as evidence. Several pieces of electronics, collectables, and hand tools were also seized as possible stolen property and in connection with the narcotics activity. Jason M. Faulconer, age 32, of 825 South Fifth Street was taken into custody as a result of the search warrant.

Assisting in the execution of the warrant were members of the U.S. 23 Pipeline Major Crimes Taskforce, the Greenfield Police Department, and Highland County Children Services.

Faulconer was taken into custody and is currently being held on a holder from the Ohio Adult Parole Authority, after it was found that Faulconer was on supervision due to a prior felony weapons charge in Highland County in 2006. Faulconer will appear in Highland County Common Pleas Court in the near future for a parole violation hearing.

The case will be forwarded to the Highland County Prosecutor’s Office for presentation to an upcoming session of the Highland County Grand Jury.

For further clarification or questions, please contact Sheriff Ron Ward at (937) 393-2212.
